Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that his Cabinet colleagues had decided to pay for Covid-19 vaccine. The announcement came on the day that India expanded the inoculation drive to include those aged above 60 years, and those aged 45+ with comorbidities. A minor girl was kidnapped and allegedly gang-raped in Bihar's Sitamarhi district a week ago. The incident occurred in Parihar area. The accused also recorded the incident and circulated it. Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on February 20 announced an increase in wages of tea labours by Rs. 80. The total wage of each tea garden workers in Assam will now be Rs 318. CM Sarbananda Sonowal said, "It is significant and historic initiative taken by BJP-led NDA government in Assam. This is happening for the first time because during our brief period of 4.5 years, we were able to increase the wages up to Rs. 80. Congress was unable to do it because of lack of their commitment to tea labours."
