After heated debate, Chhattisgarh House unanimously adopts bills to raise quota to 76%

The Chhattisgarh assembly on Friday unanimously adopted two bills to raise overall reservation in government jobs and seats in educational institutions to 76% by providing 32% quota for STs, 13% for SCs, 27% for OBCs and 4% for economically weaker sections (EWS). An important provision in the bill is reservation on the basis of population ratio in class3 and class4 posts at the division and district levels.
