Defence exports at Rs 16,000cr, an all-time high, says Rajnath Singh
Saturday, 1 April 2023 India's export of arms and defence technologies reached an all-time high of Rs 15,920 crore in the 2022-23 financial year, which represents a 10-fold increase since 2016-17, defence minister Rajnath Singh announced on Saturday. Applauding the achievement, PM a Modi tweeted, "Excellent! A clear manifestation of India's talent and the enthusiasm towards 'Make in India'. It also shows the reforms in this sector over the last few years are delivering good results. Our government will keep supporting efforts to make India a defence production hub."
The anti-terror operation in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir is ongoing with one terrorist neutralised till now. The search to nab the terrorists was launched after five Army personnel were killed and one major-rank officer was wounded in a blast triggered by them in the Rajouri district. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today reached Rajouri and interacted with the soldiers there.

The Ministry of Finance has said that a special ₹75 coin will be launched to commemorate the inauguration of the new parliament building. The new parliament building will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday.
