Anurag Verma appointed Punjab's new chief secretary, supersedes 11 officers

The AAP government in Punjab on Monday appointed 1993-batch IAS officer Anurag Verma as new chief secretary with effect from July 1. Verma, who superseded 11 officers senior to him, would be the 42nd chief secretary of the state.
