Mumbai: Malaria, dengue, lepto... intensifying rain sees rise in monsoon ailments

Monsoon diseases have surged in the city amid intensifying rains, the BMC's public health department has cautioned. Malaria, dengue, gastroenteritis and leptospirosis, the prominent illnesses associated with the rainy season, have all witnessed a noticeable upswing in reported cases in July's first two weeks.
