IndiaTimes Tuesday, 26 September 2023
The Cauvery Water Regulatory Committee (CWRC) has recommended that Karnataka release 3,000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu daily for 18 days starting from September 28th. Karnataka is expected to seek a reduction in the amount of water to be shared. The Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) will make the final decision on the recommendation. Karnataka is currently facing widespread protests over the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. Another bandh is planned for Friday across Karnataka.
