UP to take back land leased to former UP minister Azam Khan's trust

The Uttar Pradesh state cabinet revoked a land lease given to Azam Khan's Jauhar Trust due to alleged violations of the agreement. Previously, a 3.24-acre land allocated to the Jauhar Research Centre had been seized. The decision also involved reclaiming the building and land of the Murtaza Higher Secondary School leased to the Maulana Mohammad Jauhar Trust in Rampur. The government took this action based on a report from a four-member inquiry committee, transferring ownership of the 41,181 sqft land back to the Secondary Education Department.
