Manipur: Mob tries to gherao police office to get arms; curfew relaxation withdrawn in Imphal

The state government has withdrawn the daily curfew relaxation in two districts due to the developing law and order situation. Tensions have been escalating following recent incidents, including the shooting of a police officer and an ambush on a police convoy. The state has been plagued by violence since ethnic clashes began in May, resulting in over 180 deaths.

According to a security official, the event transpired around 1:15 am near Sapormeina in Kangpokpi district.
