US issues travel advisory for India, Asks its Citizens Not to Travel to Manipur, Jammu and Kashmir
The United States has asked its nationals not to travel to Manipur, Jammu and Kashmir, the India-Pakistan border, and parts of central and eastern parts of the country where Naxalites are active.,,In a revised travel advisory for India, the State Department said it has updated to reflect information on the northeastern states.
"Exercise increased caution in India due to crime and terrorism.
Amid growing concerns over a possible radiation leak at Pakistani nuclear sites following intense cross-border clashes with India, the U.S. State Department has chosen to remain tight-lipped. When asked directly about reports of nuclear leaks, Principal Deputy Spokesperson Tommy Pigott offered no confirmation, stating, “I have nothing to preview on that at this time.”
