Char Dham Yatra: No VIP darshan till May 31, orders Uttarakhand CM as devotees arrive in record numbers
Thursday, 16 May 2024 In a big decision, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed that all VIP darshans to Char Dham Yatra be postponed till May 31. The decision comes as an unprecedented number of pilgrims visit Char Dham this year. More than one lakh devotees reached Kedarnath since it opened on May 10. So far, over 27 lakh devotees have visited Char Dham.
In response to the recent terror attack in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued a powerful statement honouring the bravery and sacrifice of the five soldiers who lost their lives. CM Dhami asserted that their sacrifice would not be in vain and emphasised that the entire nation will remember and honor them. He vowed that terrorism would be eliminated and assured that a befitting reply would be given to the disruptive forces responsible for the attack.
