Uttarakhand: 54 families in landslide-hit village in Bageshwar await relocation

Kuwari village, on the Bageshwar-Chamoli border, has suffered repeated landslides, destroying homes and infrastructure. Since a major landslide in 2013, 54 families await relocation, living in makeshift huts without essential services. Despite submissions of new relocation proposals, the village remains largely in limbo, awaiting governmental action.
