Gujarat ‘encounter’ cop is DIG 8 years after retirement

N K Amin, who retired as superintendent of police, was promoted to DIG posthumously after a legal battle. He had been suspended and incarcerated for eight years in two encounter cases but was eventually exonerated by CBI courts and departmental inquiries.
