Savita G, a 49-year-old woman, and her accomplice, Puneet P, were arrested for allegedly defrauding her social circle of over Rs 5 crore. Savita lured women from affluent backgrounds with promises of high-return investments in gold imports and real estate. She gained their trust through kitty parties and false claims, ultimately running a chit-fund business.
