'Didn’t tell us he applied for army': Mother of Agniveer who died in J&K landmine blast; family mourns youngest son, only govt job holder

A 20-year-old Agniveer, Lalit Kumar, died in a landmine explosion while patrolling the LOC in J&K. He had secretly joined the Army a year and a half ago to financially support his mason father and help with his sister's wedding. Kumar's last visit home was in July 2025, and he was cremated with military honors in his village.
