‘Strangers of The Nation': Al-Qaeda 'propagandist' Shama Parveen spread radical content through social media; had 10,000 Instagram followers
Wednesday, 30 July 2025 () Gujarat ATS arrested Shama Parveen Ansari from Bengaluru for allegedly spreading al-Qaeda propaganda through social media. She operated accounts like 'strangers_nation02' on Instagram and Facebook, disseminating radical content inciting jihad and calling for armed revolt against the Indian government. Ansari is accused of circulating speeches by AQIS leaders and was sent to 14-day police custody for further investigation.
