IndiaTimes Monday, 9 September 2024
NASA has developed a contingency plan to bring astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry "Butch" Wilmore back from the ISS after the Boeing Starliner was deemed unsafe for their return due to technical issues. Currently, the SpaceX Dragon supporting Crew-8 is configured as an emergency return vehicle for the astronauts until the Crew-9 mission arrives in September 2024. NASA's priority remains the safety of the crew, emphasizing its commitment to preventing past tragedies like Columbia.
