West Yorkshire Police Officer Sentenced for Harassment Offence

A West Yorkshire Police officer has been sentenced today after being found guilty of an offence of harassment.
PC Raza Mahmood, aged 33, who is based in Calderdale District, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates Court today where he was given a 12-month community order, which includes carrying out 80 hours unpaid work. The judge also imposed a five-year restraining order preventing him from having any direct or indirect contact with the victim.
PC Mahmood remains suspended from duty pending misconduct proceedings.
