Intelligence assessment says Iran's nuclear program was only set back 'a few months'
Wednesday, 25 June 2025 () New intelligence suggests U.S. strikes only set Iran's nuclear back by months, contrary to claims by President Trump that the strikes demolished key nuclear enrichment facilities.

Iran has executed three men accused of spying for Israel’s Mossad, just one day after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. The executions are part of a sweeping crackdown in which over 300 alleged spies have been killed in just two months, according to Iran Human Rights.
Among the dead is political prisoner Mohammadamin Shayesteh, who was accused of insulting Islamic sanctities and collaborating with Israel. Rights groups say he was tortured into a confession. Iran also executed Majid Mosayebi for allegedly passing sensitive information to Mossad.
This chilling wave of executions follows Israel’s June 13 strikes on Iranian nuclear sites. As Iran detains 22 more people in Qom for suspected ties to Israeli intelligence, the region braces for more fallout—despite U.S.-brokered calls for calm.
What does this mean for regional stability?
Is Iran silencing dissent in the name of national security?

French President Emmanuel Macron has publicly condemned U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites, saying they violate international law and undermine years of nuclear diplomacy. Macron stressed that while France opposes Iran’s nuclear ambitions, regime change must come from within—not by force. He also denounced the Israeli strike on Evin Prison, which endangered foreign nationals, including two French citizens. His rebuke signals a growing rift with Donald Trump, warning that military escalation could destabilize the region irreversibly.
