Human Rights Commission expresses concern over growing sense of powerlessness in Pakistan

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has expressed concern over the growing sense of powerlessness among ordinary people in Pakistan due to economic deprivation and unemployment. The HRCP has condemned the restrictions on freedom of expression and the curbs on media reporting. The HRCP also called for immediate attention to the law and order situation in Sindh and Punjab, and the mainstreaming of newly merged districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
