Israel must comply with laws of war under US weapons assistance policy

This comes after the US sold around 14,000 tank shells to Israel without congressional review. The Biden administration used emergency authority to allow the $106.5 million sale. While the State Department has not determined whether Israel has complied with the Conventional Arms Transfers policy, it has urged Israel to do more to minimize civilian harm in the Gaza conflict.
