Janata Party (BJP) won the Karnataka Assembly elections 2018 by securing 104 seats followed by Congress 78 and JD(S) 37.
Siddaramaiah handed over his resignation as the Karnataka CM to the Governor after the results.
Meanwhile, Congress Party and JD(S) held meeting in a hotel in Bengaluru.
After the meeting, Siddaramaiah said, “Have called for a meeting tomorrow.
Newly elected Congress and JD(S) MLAs will be there.
We are supporting JD(S) to form Government and have sent this resolution to the Governor.
