(SOUNDBITE) (English) WINNER OF THE AFRICAN FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR MOHAMED SALAH SAYING: "I think it's two ways, opposite way and negative way, we always happy to play home but it's also a lot of pressure so also we have young players and they don't have the experience yet but we play as a team, we play as a group so I am very excited about it and I am sure we are going to do something and I think we are going to play final against Senegal again." STORY: Egypt striker Mohamed Salah is relishing the prospect of playing the African Nations Cup at home in Egypt, he said on Tuesday (January 8).

Egypt was given the hosting rights to the 2019 tournament, the Confederation of African Football confirmed after a meeting of their executive committee in Dakar.

They will stage the expanded 24-team event in June-July after initial hosts Cameroon were stripped of the tournament last month over concerns at the slow pace of preparations.

The North African nation will host the competition for the fourth time, and the first since 2006.

Egypt and South Africa were the only two countries to put forward their candidacies to replace Cameroon.

Salah - in Senegal to receive the African Player of the Year award - gave a cautious welcome to the news, warning of the weight of expectations on his country's young players but forecasting they would meet Senegal in the final.
