Demonstrators Face Off Against Police in Riot Gear as Hong Kong Protests Continue

Protesters faced off against police in riot gear in Hong Kong’s Admiralty district on the evening of June 12 following a day of demonstrations and clashes that had seen authorities use batons, pepper spray and tear gas.

This footage shows a group of protesters – several wearing hard hats – on one side of the road as a line of police stand on the other side.

According to a report from South China Morning Post, as of 10 pm on Wednesday, 72 people aged 15 to 66 had been injured in violence resulting from the clashes.
