Tributes Paid at Pulse Nightclub Site Three Years After Shooting
Community members visited the Pulse Interim Memorial in Orlando, Florida, on June 12 to commemorate the three-year anniversary of the nightclub shooting in which dozens of people were killed.
A gunman entered Pulse nightclub on June 12, 2016, and killed 49 people.
The now-closed nightclub is the site of a memorial for the victims and provides a space for “quiet reflection” to remember the shooting, according to the memorial’s website.
Joshua Wallack, an Orlando resident, shared video on June 12 of the memorial site.
In the video, he walks past the large Pulse nightclub sign, which is covered in signatures and messages from visitors.
The video goes on to show the walls of the memorial, which are covered in photos and images commemorating the victims of the shooting.
