To protect themselves from coronavirus these Indians are bathing in cow dung

A bizarre video shows people taking cow dung bath to sanitise themselves from coronavirus infections in the south Indian state of Karnataka.

The incident took place at Hiriyur town of Chitradurga district on February 20, 2020.

"The body will be free of all bacteria and viruses if we take cow dung bath in once a month.

"The whole world is terrified of the deadly virus outbreak.

If we all start taking cow dung bath, we will attain immunity from the virus.

"It is the panacea to the distressing situation we are facing today due to the virus," said one of the men in the video.

Coronavirus outbreak has claimed over 3,000 lives around the globe and about 90,000 have tested positive for the virus.

There has been no confirmed vaccine that cures the disease.
