Congress interim president, Sonia Gandhi on May 28 targeting the BJP-led central government said that from past two months, the country is suffering through economic crises while battling against the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown but the government cannot see it.

Sonia Gandhi said, "After independence for the first time, the country is witnessing such a scenario.

The migrant workers were forced to walk for long miles without food and water, farmers had to go from one place to other in order to sell their crops, their problem was heard by every Indian but not the central government."
