Florida Man Kills Burger King Employee Over Long Line

ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA — A woman who was upset that her Burger King order took too long, arranged for a man to come to the restaurant, and shoot one of the employees.

The incident occurred in Orange County, Florida on August 1 at around 7:30 p.m.

When deputies arrived, they said they found the victim, 22-year-old Desmond Armond Joshua suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to Click Orlando, a witness said the fast-food chain was busy that night and the drive-thru was backed-up, resulting in customers having to wait longer than usual.

Per the report, one woman who was in line was mad about the delay so got out of her vehicle and began yelling that she was going to have 'her man' come to the restaurant.

Records show that an employee refunded her $40 and asked her to leave.

Deputies explained that the woman returned with a white truck with a man identified as 37-year-old Kelvis Rodriguez-Tormes, who was demanding that Joshua fight him.

A witness intervened and tried to stop Rodriguez-Tormes after he put Joshua in a headlock and started choking him.

Rodriguez-Tormes then went to his truck and got a gun, telling Joshua, 'You got two seconds before I shoot you.'

He then shot the 22-year-old, who officers told had only just started working at Burger King a few days earlier.

Despite Rodriguez-Tormes dismantling the gun and placing it in a location that cannot be located, he was charged with first-degree murder with a firearm.
