Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave grand, ceremonial welcome to actors playing Ram, Sita and Lakshman as they arrived by chopper in Ayodhya on November 13. He was accompanied by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. He said, "Sushil Modi has our full support." Voting for Rajya Sabha by-election is scheduled on December 14. The seat was left vacant after demise of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader and former union minister Ram Vilas Paswan.

Kartik Purnima is also celebrated as Dev Deepawali in various parts of the country. Kartik Purnima marks the fifteenth lunar day of the Hindu month of Kartik.

Bihar Police arrested 17 criminals and seized 14 country-made pistols and 1 quintal ganja from their possession on December 03. Case has been registered against them under relevant sections of IPC. The campaign for seizing illegal arms is in full swing in Bihar. Further probe is underway.

"A road is being constructed to connect Ayodhya and Sitamarhi which is named Ram-Janki Marg and can be travelled in 5-6 hours. Grand deepotsav celebrations are now underway in the holy city of Ayodhya. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present at the Ram Ki Paidi to light lamps. The temple-town has been lit with 5.51 lakh diyas - earthen lamps - which add glitter to the celebrations. 11 tableaux, based on chapters of Ramcharitmanas, and a 'darbar' of Ram Lalla have also been depicted. As Ayodhya gears up for Deepotsav celebrations, arrangements are being done in full swing. Entry of outsiders in the temple town will be banned for four days from Wednesday. Police said that drone cameras will be used to monitor the movement of people. People from all communities have joined hands to make this Deepotsav grand. Started in 2017 by UP CM Yogi Adityanath, the 3-day event will commence on November 13. This year's celebrations come months after the construction of Ram temple commenced. Celebrations have been curtailed this year in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. Multi-layered security arrangements have been put in place in Ayodhya for the celebrations. Deepotsav will be attended by Governor Anandiben Patel and CM Adityanath.
