Some Colorado communities used CARES Act dollars to give frontline workers hazard pay, others didn’t
As the pandemic brought life as we know it to a halt, the federal government doled out hundreds of millions of dollars to help pay for COVID-19-related costs.
The money went to cities and counties across the state through what became known as CARES Act funding.
