Biden hails ‘great day for America’ as mask-wearing guidance eased
US health officials have eased mask-wearing guidance for people who are fully vaccinated, allowing them to stop using face coverings outdoors in crowds and in most indoor settings.“Today is a great day for America,” President Joe Biden said during a Rose Garden address heralding the new guidance from the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The Bidens have announced that Champ, their “beloved” German Shepherd who had been with their family since 2008, has died. Champ passed away at the Biden family home in Wilmington, Delaware, a White House official told CNN.
"In our most joyful moments and in our most grief-stricken days, he was there with us, sensitive to our every unspoken feeling and emotion. We love our sweet, good boy and will miss him always," the Bidens said in a statement. This report produced by Jonah Green.
