In a fiery declaration, U.S. President Donald Trump has officially axed all federal funding for California’s long-delayed and over-budget high-speed rail project. Calling it the “HIGH SPEED TRAIN TO NOWHERE,” Trump accused Governor Gavin Newsom—mockingly dubbed “Newscum”—of overseeing a $130 billion disaster that has delivered nothing but cost overruns and broken promises. Despite decades of work and billions spent, the rail line connecting San Francisco to Los Angeles remains incomplete and years behind schedule. Trump praised Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy for ensuring that not “a single penny” more will be wasted on the project. The move not only highlights Trump’s disdain for the project but also signals a political jab at one of his most prominent Democratic rivals. With this announcement, Trump rallies fiscal conservatives and taxpayers, painting himself as the guardian of their wallets against California’s “boondoggle.”

Chaos erupted on the streets of San Francisco on Tuesday as federal immigration agents clashed violently with protesters outside a city courthouse. The confrontation, now being called the most violent of its kind in the city this year, saw Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents using aggressive tactics against a group of approximately 20 demonstrators.
The tense situation began around 11:18 a.m. when ICE agents attempted toescort a detained man from the courthouse. Protesters quickly formed a human chain, using their bodies and bicycles to block the exit while shouting anti-ICE slogans. In response, several agents, with their faces covered, were seen deploying pepper spray, pushing protesters to the ground with batons, and yelling expletives. The situation escalated dramatically when one agent brandished a rifle to intimidate the crowd.
The most shocking moment occurred when a black SUV, reportedly waiting for the agents, sped through the crowd of protesters. Witnesses reported that a woman was thrown from the hood of the moving vehicle, which then almost ran her over a block away. This incident has sparked outrage and raises serious questions about the use of force by federal agents during public demonstrations in the United States.
