Recently French President Emmanuel Macron made sweeping, unilateral reforms to his country’s pension program.

Raising the minimum retirement age for all individuals from  62 to 64.

It has been an overwhelmingly unpopular move as many, especially blue collar workers who already found it difficult to get to retirement age without injury.

For days French protests have been building, more recently culminating in riots all over the country.
