Russian FSB Outsmarts Ukraine in Deadly Helicopter Hijacking Plot, Agent Killed in Missile Strike
In a high-stakes operation, Russian security services have thwarted an attempt by Ukrainian intelligence to hijack a Mi-8MTPR-1 electronic warfare helicopter.
The plot was uncovered by a Russian pilot, who was offered a large bribe and a complex escape route in exchange for betraying his country.
The Ukrainian agent, who went by the name 'Sergey,' also advised the pilot to poison his fellow crew members or use a weapon to ensure the success of the hijacking.
The pilot, trained to recognize security threats, reported the contact to his superiors, and the situation was turned into a counter-operation by Russiaās Federal Security Service (FSB).
