Former EU justice chief Didier Reynders suspected of money laundering
Belgian police raided several properties linked to former European Commissioner for Justice for alleged fraud, Follow the Money and Belgian newspaper Le Soir reported.
EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that Brussels will delay retaliation against U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs as talks with Washington continue. President Trump disrupted months of negotiation, warning the EU of sweeping 30% tariffs unless a deal is reached by August 1. Von der Leyen confirmed preparations for countermeasures are ongoing, but emphasized the EU still prefers a negotiated solution.
