German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has issued a stark warning to Moscow, declaring German troops are “ready to Kill Russian soldiers” if Russia attacks any NATO member. Speaking in Lithuania, Pistorius emphasized Germany’s duty to defend NATO’s eastern flank and said the Bundeswehr is shifting from deterrence to combat readiness. Citing Russia as an existential threat, he called for increased NATO presence in Eastern Europe. Berlin’s new strategic posture reflects a major departure from post-WWII restraint amid fears of a full-scale NATO-Russia conflict.
