The new Ferrari Amalfi Design Preview
The Ferrari Amalfi engine represents the latest evolution of the 3,855 cc twin-turbo V8 from the F154 family, one of the most successful in recent motorsport history.
In this configuration, the engine has been optimized to achieve a maximum power of 640 hp at 7,500 rpm, with a specific power of 166 hp/liter, and a boost limiter raised to 7,600 rpm, to take full advantage of the continuous and rising power curve.
The increased performance has been achieved thanks to an advanced turbocharger management system, which allows independent control of the rotational speed of the two turbochargers with specific calibration and an increase in maximum turbo speed to 171,000 rpm.
This approach has improved throttle response and the precision of boost pressure management, also thanks to the introduction of bank-specific pressure sensors.
The new engine control unit, already used in models such as the 296 GTB, the Ferrari Purosangue and the Ferrari 12Cilindri, has allowed the engine's potential to be fully exploited
