McCoy is a writer, registered nurse, certified teacher, and former school director.
More importantly, she is the grandmother of a child diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome, a catastrophic seizure disorder.
Because she has seen firsthand the challenges faced by neurodivergent children and their families, McCoy wrote DELILAH VERSUS THE GRIM as a rallying cry for greater inclusivity, acceptance, and empowerment.
Through her writing, McCoy strives to create a more compassionate and understanding world—where everyone gets the chance to feel like a hero from time to time.
