Wednesday, 13 March 2019 [Nation] "I am coming to Nairobi. I have forgotten my phone, but we will talk once I get there," these were the last words Mr Yared Getachew, the pilot of the ill-fated Ethiopian Airlines flight ET302 uttered to his mother as he prepared to steer the aircraft for the less than two-hour flight to Nairobi.
When Ethiopian Airlines flight 302 crashed, it killed every one of the 157 people on board.
Now, a source who has listened to the air traffic control recording says the plane had an unusually high speed after take-off.
Then, the plane reported problems and asked permission to climb quickly.
