Travel boom: Taj Hotels revenue soars to Rs 1,481 crore & profit to Rs 167 crore in Q2

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), the parent company of Taj, has reported a strong performance in the July-September quarter of 2023. The company's revenue increased by 18% to Rs 1,481 crore, while profit grew by 37% to Rs 167 crore compared to the same period last year. IHCL attributed the growth to the recovery in the travel industry post-Covid. The company also announced the addition of new hotels to its portfolio and highlighted its focus on cost optimization and revenue flow-throughs.
