Google agrees to pay Rs 20.24 crore to CCI in Android TV settlement case

Google has settled with the Competition Commission of India (CCI) regarding unfair practices in the Android TV sector, agreeing to pay Rs 20.24 crore. This marks the first settlement under the revised Competition Act. Google will now offer standalone licenses for Play Store and Play Services, and waive Android Compatibility Commitments for devices shipped to India without Google apps.
