New York City’s West Indian Day Parade turned violent Monday evening as chaos erupted in Crown Heights. At least six people were shot and one slashed in four separate incidents, shattering what began as a peaceful celebration. Victims range from a 40-year-old woman to a 53-year-old man critically wounded outside a restaurant. Police confirmed all shooting victims are expected to survive. NYPD took one person of interest into custody as investigators probe whether the shootings were connected or isolated attacks.
