BTS members begin process to enlist in Military

The remaining four members of K-pop group BTS have started the process of enlisting for mandatory military service, according to their label. All able-bodied men in South Korea are required to serve in the military for at least 18 months. The group's oldest member, Jin, enlisted last year, followed by J-Hope and SUGA. Now, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook will begin their service. BTS has achieved global success, with multiple No. 1 hits and a significant impact on South Korea's cultural image. The group's agency announced that all seven members have renewed their contracts.
