'Emergency' opens with more than Rs.2 cr; beats 'Azaad'

Kangana Ranaut’s latest film, ‘Emergency,’ faced delays and was eventually released in January 2025. Despite low expectations, it earned Rs 2.35 crore on its first day, outperforming Ajay Devgn’s ‘Azaad.’ The film, depicting the Emergency period of 1975, features Kangana as Indira Gandhi with a notable supporting cast.
