Selena's killer denied parole in life sentence

Yolanda Saldivar, convicted of killing Tejano music star Selena Quintanilla-Perez in 1995, has been denied parole by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. Saldivar will continue serving her life sentence with parole eligibility in 2030. Despite her claims of intending to kill herself, the board deemed her a public safety threat due to the nature of the crime.
