Review ordered into decision to accept Nottingham attacker's manslaughter pleas
Tuesday, 30 January 2024 The CPS decision to accept the manslaughter pleas of the Nottingham attacker who killed three people is to be examined in an independent review.
The parents of Grace O’Malley-Kumar have blamed “failings” in the system for a series of stabbing attacks, including a sword attack in Hainault on Tuesday and a school stabbing in Sheffield on Wednesday. Grace’s father, Dr Sanjoy Kumar, said “positive change is so long overdue” after a 14-year-old boy was killed in Hainault and three teenage boys were admitted to hospital in Sheffield following the attacks.
