Kitchen use suspended following Manchester Arena plotter's prison attack
Monday, 14 April 2025 Prisoners housed in separation centres have been stopped from using kitchens following an attack by the brother of the Manchester Arena bomber, Sky News understands.
Manchester Arena bomb plotter Hashem Abedi has attacked prison officers at HMP Frankland, throwing boiling oil before stabbing them with improvised weapons. The Prison Officers' Association is calling for reduced freedoms for high-risk inmates.
