Tuesday, 24 June 2025 () Donald Trump has dodged a question asking him whether he is still committed to Article 5 of NATO, the alliance's founding principle.
Trump swears on live TV as he blasts Iran and Israel for ceasefire violations
Just after 0700CET, Trump announced that a ceasefire between the two countries had taken effect, saying "Please do not violate it!" in a post on Truth Social.

Trump has walked back his calls for regime change in Iran, just days after championing the hashtag #MIGA (Make Iran Great Again) and authorizing strikes on Iranian nuclear sites. Speaking aboard Air Force One en route to a NATO summit in The Hague, Trump told reporters he “does not favor regime change”, warning it would only lead to “chaos.” The sudden U-turn comes amid rising tensions and speculation about recent threats from Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
