J&K governor chairs high-level security meeting ahead of Amarnath yatra
Tuesday, 21 May 2019 Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik Monday chaired a high-level meeting in Srinagar to review security arrangements ahead of the annual Amarnath Yatra which is scheduled to commence on July 1. The governor stressed on the need for all concerned agencies to be alert and effectively coordinate during the yatra.
Security upped in Jammu and Kashmir with the government asking Amarnath Yatris and tourists to 'immediately' leave the valley. Airlines have been advised to be ready to run extra flights from Srinagar.
