Nepal parliament's Upper House will also pass the Constitutional amendment bill to update country's new political map. This comes a day after the lower house unanimously voted in favour of the bill. The new map lays claim to Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura, areas along the India border. India had made offers to Nepal to hold 'diplomatic talks to resolve the territorial issue' between the two countries. Moreover, India has rejected Nepal's amendments in political map.

Expressing confidence that his government will complete its full term, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday said 'unhappy MLAs' should attend the assembly session as they have been elected on Congress symbol. Gehlot said he wants rebel MLAs to attend the assembly session next month and also took a veiled dig at MLAs supporting former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, saying they were 'playing the lap of BJP'. "I still want that those unhappy MLAs should attend the assembly session as they have been elected on Congress symbol. It is my responsibility to ensure that they are seen standing with the government in front of the public," he said. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra agreed to convene assembly session on August 14. Speaking on it, the Chief Minister said he was happy that the governor has finally accepted his request to call the Assembly. Gehlot also attacked BSP chief Mayawati and alleged that she is making remarks under pressure from BJP. "Mayawati's complaint is not logical as all six BSP MLAs merged with us. She is giving a statement under pressure from BJP. The Centre is using ED, Income Tax, CBI and hence she is forced to give such a statement," he alleged.

Rajasthan Government will soon bring a new tourism Policy with an aim to promote tourism activities in the state. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced this while reviewing the Tourism Department through video conference. He interacted with district-level officers of the tourism department and invited their suggestions to give pace to tourism. The Chief Minister said that Rajasthan is a prominent tourism centre. Livelihood of lakhs of people in the State depends on tourism. This policy will help in bringing back the tourism sector on the tracks which is currently facing crisis due to COVID-19. CM Gehlot said that "Fairs and festivals are our cultural heritage. We need to give them a new look and introduce new things so that more and more domestic and foreign tourists can be attracted. Rebranding of fairs and festivals including Pushkar Fair, Desert Festival, Kumbhalgarh and Bundi Festival should be done. With introducing new thinking, activities should be included to attract tourists." The Chief Minister also underlined that Rajasthan has a large number of religious sites which are ancient and are important from the archaeological point of view. CM directed the Officers to prepare an outline to develop these religious sites keeping in view increase in tourism.
