Indian citizenship granted to 2,120 Pakistanis, 188 Afghans, 99 Bangladeshis in last 4 years
Monday, 21 September 2020 Apart from 2,120 Pakistani, 188 Afghanistan and 99 Bangladeshi nationals, as many as 60 American, 58 Sri Lankan, 31 Nepali, 20 British, 19 Malaysian, 14 Canadian and 13 Singapore nationals were also granted Indian citizenship during the same period, he said in a written reply.

A second major fire blazed through the Rohingya refugee camps in southern Bangladesh on Monday, coming within a week of another destructive fire which destroyed homes belonging to thousands of people.
Ahead of West Bengal elections, Uttar Pradesh minister, Anand Swaroop Shukla, targeted Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. Shukla called Mamata the biggest threat to India. Shukla also said that BJP would win over 200 seats out of 294. He said, “Mamata Banerjee has become a complete Bangladeshi. She doesn't have any faith in India and Indian-ness. She is following the directions of Islamic terrorists from Bangladesh. By giving citizenship to Rohingya Muslims and Bangladeshi Muslims, insulting Hindu gods and goddesses, destroying temples, denying celebration of our festivals, Mamata Banerjee has become the biggest threat to our nation. Because of this, her supporters are deserting her. Most TMC people are supporting BJP now because they proclaim 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. This April, BJP will win over 200 seats out of the total 294. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel accused BJP of maligning any sort of protests. Baghel said that BJP called them Pakistani, Khalistani and even alleged them of being middleman's broker, but they won't be successful in their attempts in suppressing farmers. CM Bhupesh Baghel said, "Whenever there's a protest, BJP tries to malign it. As for protesting farmers, sometimes they (BJP) called them Pakistani or Khalistani. They even alleged that farmers are middleman's broker. NIA's notice has also been sent to the houses of the protesting farmers. Regardless of their attempts to suppress, farmers won't be scared."
Placards of PM Modi and several other world leaders were seen at a pro-freedom rally organised in Sann area of Pakistan’s Sindh. The rally had been organised on the birth anniversary of GM Syed, one of the founding fathers of modern Sindh nationalism. Protesters said that Sindh had been illegally handed over to Pakistan in 1947 and raised slogans for Sindhudesh. There are several nationalist parties in Sindh, who are advocating for a free Sindh nation at various international platforms. Sindhudesh is a demand of a separate homeland for Sindhis which emerged in 1967 under the leadership of G M Syed and Pir Ali Mohammed Rashdi. Watch the full video for all the details.
